Si avvicina l'estate e la libreria Trame le darà il benvenuto con l'ormai consueto festival "Vacanze da Trame", che per il terzo anno consecutivo proporrà una mostra di illustrazione accompagnata da freschi aperitivi musicali. 

La mostra curata da Erica Preli ospiterà i disegni di Ray Ray Mitrano, illustratore newyorkese, "Ice Cream, I scream" e " Jalopy Faces" sono le serie di illustrazioni che ci propone, rispettivamente frutto di osservazioni dell'atto di mangiare gelato nell'estate di Brooklyn e dei musicisti nel Jalopy Theatre in cui più o meno ogni mercoledì sera l'artista si reca.
La mostra durerà fino a settembre.

Over the past year, I have sold Blue Marble ice cream at outdoor events all around New York City and inside at the Brooklyn shops. Watching customers receive an ice cream cone, pay for it, hold it, share it, deal with melting and occasionally drop it, I have drawn many of my observations between scooping. Ice cream is an intriguing phenomenon to watch during the blossoming of spring, the intense heat of summer, the chill of fall and right on through the dead of winter.

"Jalopy Faces"
I have been coming to the Jalopy Theatre most every Wednesday night for the past couple years. It has greatly enriched my life. Being part of an audience to such consistent displays of quality performance has been continuously invigorating; the articulately lit stage, free-flow seating and comfortable mood has made it very convenient for drawing
